A new build extension, internal and external refurbishment of the Grade 2* listed East Range.

A new catering kitchen, serving both a new Cafe and refurbished Senior Common Room and Dining Hall, was housed within the new building together with a new feature stair providing improved access to all areas, a disabled access lift and other facilities.

The remainder of the site, including the buildings connected to either side of the scheme, remained in occupation and substantial effort went into maintaining services to them.

MPA provided full M & E design services for this challenging project, including lighting design to both interior and exterior areas.
